I'M HOME!

I'm back!  After 6 wonderful months of traveling to the most beautiful places and meeting the most incredible people - I have returned to Ann Arbor, Michigan to spend some quality time with my fabulous parents, explore the world of internet marketing (working for my aunt's fabulous online shoe store Barefoot Tess), and watch two of my closest friends walk down the aisle.  While I had planned on living the nomadic wandering lifestyle for an entire year, limited money and situational circumstances and a terrible fiasco with All Nippon Airlines brought me back in early March.  Ah well - there is a great big world out there and now that I have truly been bitten by the traveling bug... I know I will always find myself escaping off to some faraway land (my current goal is to take one trip a year, but that may be way too optimistic and unrealistic).  Anyway -thank you all for all your support and love throughout my adventures!

Year of possibility - to be continued...

As some of you know, and all of you will soon learn, I have decided to throw caution and my savings to the wind and take a year of possibility - 12 whole months of doing all the glorious things I always said I always wanted to do, but never had the time or money or courage to actually do.   The biggest priority I have for this year is to travel - as much as I possibly can in my limited time frame and to as many places as I possibly can afford with my limited savings.

While investigating possible world travel options, I came across an incredible organization - Volunteers for Peace - which organizes volunteer opportunities by linking up with other international volunteer organizations across the globe (www.volunteersforpeace.org).  It almost sounded too good to be true - for a very small price I could travel to glorious places, learn about different cultures, help communities, and meet other international volunteers!  Searching through their database I found four unique and amazing programs that I just had to be a part of: participating in an art workshop in Turkey, restoring community footpaths in Greece, decorating a kindergarten school in Thailand, and learning / practicing yoga and ayurveda in India.   These trips, combined with an amazing road trip across the country and a fabulous family vacation in the middle, com

This site will track me and my experiences around the world - with information about my trips, a calendar, pictures of each excursion, and a running personal blog of internal and most likely incomprehensible rambling.  If you would like to be a part of my possibilities - donate a single dollar to my journey by clicking on “One Dollar of Possibility,” and make my experience much more than a dollar’s worth richer.
